Zrejme každý z nás sa ocitol v blízkosti človeka prežívajúceho ťažké duševné zranenie. Môže to byť náhla strata blízkeho človeka, fyzické napadnutie, znásilnenie, či dôsledok havárie. Vtedy sme často bezmocní a bezradní. Slová nám akosi neprichádzajú na um a sami cítime, že sú len chabou útechou.
Probably each one of us has been near a person experiencing severe mental distress. It could a be sudden loss of a close person, physical assault, rape or the consequences of an accident. We are often powerless and helpless. The right words do not come, and even if, they are a weak comfort.

Samotní, ťažko traumatizovaní ľudia niekdy celkom ustrnú, nechápu súvislosti, sú v šoku, konajú chaoticky a niekedy aj riskantne.
Those traumatized often become quite frozen, not seeing the context, shocked, sometimes act chaotically, other times they are a threat to themselves.
Odborníci hovoria, že v akútnych situáciach prežívania takejto bolesti je múdre naše mlčanie a najmä blízkosť iného človeka.
Experts say that in acute situations of experiencing such pain it is wise to be silent and the closeness of another person is important.

K realizácii ponúkaného videa ma svojím žiaľom, nepriamo podnietila priateľka z najkrajších rokov nášho spoločného dospievania.

Nedávno som od nej dostal túto správu:

„Milan, prosím poraď. Si psychológ, skús mi prosím poradiť ako prežiť smrť svojej dcérky, po ktorej ostalo päťročné dieťatko. Pred štyrmi rokmi mi zomrel manžel, v deň jeho pohrebu moja mama a teraz toto. Je to nad moje sily.“
“Milan, please, help me. You’re a psychologist, please try to give me an advice, how to survive the death of my daughter, who left behind a five-year-old child? Four years ago my husband died, on the day of his funeral died my mother and now this. I’m not strong enough.”
Odpísal som obratom: „Drahá Marienka. Ťažko, veľmi ťažko sa mi hľadajú slová. Život vie byť krutý. Často je taký práve voči tým najlepším spomedzi nás. Patríš k nim. Prečo práve Teba takto skúša Pán Boh je jeho tajomstvo. Nájsť slová útechy v Tvojej bolesti a trápení nedokážem, aspoň teraz keď je tá Tvoja bolesť nezmerná. Snáď nám bude dopriate stretnúť sa osobne, aby som Ťa mohol aspoň objať. Z celého srdca Ti želám aby si dokázala nájsť dosť síl k zvládnutie smutných chvíľ a k prekonávaniu bôľu. Tvoji blízki budú iste ešte potrebovať Tvoju lásku, nehu a starostlivosť. Musíme kráčať ďalej. I s tým jarmom, ktoré život naloží, nespravodlivo a nezaslúžene. Prijmi prosím moju hlbokú sústrasť a objatie. „
I replied, “Dear. It’s hard to find words. Life can be cruel. And very often, it is to the best of us. You belong to this category. Why this happened to you is Lord’s secret. I cannot find the words to comfort you in your pain, at least not now, when your pain is unmeasurable. Maybe we will be able to meet personally so I can at least embrace you. With all my heart I wish you would find enough strength to handle sad moments and overcome the pain. Your loved ones will surely need your love, tenderness and care. We have to move on. Even when life is unjust and undeserved. Please accept my deep condolences and a hug.”
Už pri písaní odpovede som cítil a tak je tomu doteraz – ako málo, aké neúplné sú, dokážu a môžu byť slová.

Veľa rokov som sa zaoberal skúmaním vplyvu hudby a slova na správanie a prežívanie človeka. Výsledky tejto práce som ponúkol verejnosti formou viacerých hudobno-slovných nahrávok (metód), ktoré sú aj dnes dostupné a využívané .
For many years, I have studied the influence of music and words on human behavior and experience. I have offered the results of this work to the public in the form of a number of musical-sound recordings (methods) that are still available and used today.
Medzičasom výskum neurovied o činnosti mozgu, najmä s pomocou neurotechnológií pokročil do takej miery, že dovoľuje pokúsiť sa v reálnej každodennej praxi o spojenie vizuálnej stimulácie s pôsobením hudby a tzv. binaurálnych zvukových frekvencií (viac na stránke o liečivých tónoch).
